India Globalization Capital, Inc. (“IGC” or “Company”) (New York Stock Exchange stock code:Intergovernmental Committee) Announced today that it has completed the third cohort of the phase 1 clinical trial of IGC-based tetrahydrocannabinol (“THC”) research drug IGC-AD1, which aims to alleviate the symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease patients. As mentioned earlier, IGC submitted IGC-AD1 as a research candidate for Alzheimer’s disease to the US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) under Section 505(i) of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act drug. The IGC received FDA approval on July 30, 2020 to conduct a phase 1 trial in patients with Alzheimer’s disease. Cohort 3 is the last cohort of the IGC Alzheimer’s disease phase 1 trial. The IGC Clinical Trial Data and Safety Monitoring Committee (“DSMC”) will review the data of the third cohort, and IGC will report the results of all three cohorts to the FDA.
