Granite (NYSE code:VAT) Has been awarded a $18 million contract for the 300 West Reconstruction project in Salt Lake City, Utah. The contract award is expected to be included in Granite’s second quarter commitments and awards (CAP).
The scope of work includes the complete reconstruction of 300 West from 900 South to 2100 South. The design of the project has many innovative highlights, such as a fully protected two-way bicycle lane combined with a tree-lined “park belt” to help rainwater management and provide a buffer for pedestrians. Other work includes curing-in-place pipe (CIPP) sewer lining, levelling concrete work, traffic signal system and asphalt paving.
