Richmond Hill, Ontario, May 27, 2021 (Global News Service) – Canso Select Opportunities Corporation (TSXV:CSOC, CSOC.B)) (“Company” or “CSOC”) is pleased to announce the following senior management changes.

Effective immediately, Mr. Brian Carney will resign as president and chief executive officer of the company to allow more time to hold portfolio management positions in Canso Group of Companies. He will continue to serve as a non-executive director.

The board of directors has appointed Mr. Timothy Hicks as president and chief executive officer of CSOC. Tim joined Canso Investment Counsel Ltd. (Canso) in 2009, which is the portfolio management department of Canso Group of Companies, as a portfolio manager. Before joining Canso, Tim worked at Russell Investments for 15 years, holding various investment positions, including CIO of Russell Canada, and most recently as the North American Equity Director of Russell Investments in the United States. Tim will also join the company’s investment committee.

Mrs. Heather Mason-Wood was appointed as the chairman of the company’s board of directors. Heather joined Canso in 2003 after working in the company and commercial bank as a portfolio manager and currently serves as chief strategy and operations officer. Heather has held various senior positions at Canso and held board positions in non-profit entities.

Heather serves as chairman and Tim serves as president and chief executive officer, which strengthens CSOC’s already deep management team.

We look forward to working with Tim, Heather, and Brian to implement CSOC’s mission and create long-term value for our shareholders.
