Fresno, California, July 21, 2021 (Global News Service)-The Central Valley Community Foundation (CVCF) proudly announces that Bank of America has donated US$300,000 to Career Nexus, which is 19 items of Fresno DRIVE One of the initiatives. This is the largest grant granted by Bank of America in Fresno.
Career Nexus integrates employers, young people, education and training partners into an innovative career readiness ecosystem that prepares paid interns for work-based learning Professional relationship: work preparation certificate program. It also prepares internship programs for employers to ensure meaningful experiences and more successful results. The overall focus of Career Nexus is to cultivate a talented and diverse workforce for high-demand, high-paying jobs in the greater Fresno area, while providing employers with stronger labor channels.
“Bank of America will continue to firmly support Fresno’s innovation and impactful investments,” said Ashley Swearengin, CEO of CVCF. “The Bank of America grants directly invest in residents of underserved and underinvested communities and link them to paid, work-based learning internships in high-growth, high-wage sectors.”
Career Nexus is an important part of Fresno DRIVE. The program was launched in 2019. It is a 10-year community investment program with 19 initiatives aimed at creating an inclusive, full Vibrant and sustainable economy. Fresno DRIVE is coordinated by CVCF with community-wide support. Career Nexus is currently in the pilot phase and is responsible for leading Fresno DRIVE’s skill improvement program.
