amsterdam, 18 January, 2022 – Arcadis has been appointed by Scottish & Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) and Scottish Power Energy Networks (SPEN) to support their goals: maximize Renewables passed two key frameworks as they navigated the regulator’s new price control model, dubbed “RIIO-T2.”The various frameworks have a term of five years and are expected to have a combined potential value of approximately
£25 million during this period.
A five-year, multidisciplinary transmission and distribution framework with SSEN will support the organization in delivering infrastructure capable of accommodating 10GW of renewable energy generation by 2026. SSEN’s new framework will require delivery of the RIIO-2 baseline and sustainable delivery model to accommodate their network in the future. The work leveraged the scale of Arcadis’ multi-disciplinary expertise covering electrical, civil and structural, telecommunications, protection and control design, cabling, building services (mechanical and electrical), commissioning and project management.
SPEN has appointed Arcadis as the lead designer for the detailed engineering framework for its transmission engineering. Arcadis will work across multiple locations in the UK and focus on enabling new wind farm connections including substation designs, cables…
