Andersen Commercial Practice adds Louis Cole, managing director of state and local tax


Andersen welcomes managing director Louis Cole to join the business practice in the New York office, where he will focus on state and local tax (SALT) matters. Louis has more than 30 years of experience and can provide expert advice in various tax areas, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A), transaction consulting, private equity, federal and state and local taxation.

“Louis is a recognized leader in the field of state and local taxation. He has an in-depth understanding of business and technical issues related to corporate restructuring and life events. His ability to provide clients with a full-service portfolio will be a part of our business team Assets,” said Dan DePaoli, Andersen’s National General Manager for the United States.

“Louis has a good track record in identifying and providing professional services in the areas of mergers and acquisitions and SALT. As our company has been working hard to meet the needs of our customers, we expect him to bring new expertise,” said Peter Cosiah, Managing Director of Office.

Before joining Arthur Andersen, Louis was a director of KPMG. He has also held important SALT leadership positions at Grant Thornton, Deloitte and EY. His career began with Arthur Andersen.

Louis received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Delta State University. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Georgia Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Colorado Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
