Best morning The Financial Strength Rating (FSR) has been upgraded from A- (Excellent) to A (Excellent), and the Long-Term Issuer Credit Rating (Long-Term ICR) has been upgraded from “a-” (Excellent) to “a” (Excellent) Co-operators General Insurance Company (CGIC) and its subsidiary Sovereign General Insurance Company (Sovereign General) are located in Ontario, Canada. In addition, AM Best confirmed the A (excellent) FSR and “a” (excellent) long-term ICR of the Cooperative Life Insurance Company (CLIC) (Saskatchewan, Canada). The outlook for these credit ratings (ratings) is stable.
The ratings of CGIC and Sovereign General reflect the strength of CGIC’s balance sheet, which AM Best assesses as very strong, as well as its adequate operating performance, neutral business profile and appropriate enterprise risk management (ERM).
