According to sources, Israel’s target is a civil administration building, a location belonging to a Palestinian armed group and a piece of farmland.
For the second time since last month’s 11-day war ended an unstable ceasefire, Israeli fighter jets have launched a series of air strikes on the Gaza Strip for the second time.
Local Palestinian sources said that Israeli missiles hit several locations of armed groups in northwestern Gaza City and the besieged area north of Beit Lahia on Thursday.
In addition to the farmland east of the southern town of Khan Younis, a civil administration building east of Jabaliya in the north was also targeted. There were no reports of casualties.

After the airstrike, Fazi Balhom, a spokesman for the Hamas organization operating the Gaza Strip, said in a statement that “the bombing of resistance sites by the occupation is a demonstration performance by the new Israeli government”, referring to Sunday Held in the Knesset, right-wing nationalist Naftali Bennett was sworn in as prime minister.
The statement added: “The resistance movement will pay close attention to defending our people, our people and our holy places.”
Al-Aqsa TV, owned by Hamas, reported that an Israeli drone was shot down west of Gaza City.
There are also reports that Hamas used heavy machine guns to fire on Israel, prompting the sounding of air strike alarms.
Burning balloon
Israeli media reported that the army had attacked Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip in response to activists in the territory continuing to launch burning balloons.
According to Israel, Palestinian fighters launched balloons for the third consecutive day on Thursday. These balloons are a basic device used to ignite farmland and bushes near the Gaza border.
The military said in a statement that it will “continue to destroy Hamas’s military capabilities and structures and hold it accountable for what happened in the Gaza Strip”.
On Thursday, U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Brinken spoke with Israeli Foreign Minister Yair Lapid (Yair Lapid) to discuss security issues and “the ongoing challenges facing Israel and the region.”
“The Secretary of State discussed the U.S. commitment to Israeli security, the importance of U.S.-Israel bilateral relations, and the need to improve Israeli-Palestinian relations in practical ways,” U.S. State Department spokesperson Ned Price said in a statement.
The statement added: “Secretaries of State Brinken and Secretary Rapide emphasized the strong partnership between the United States and Israel, and the United States’ firm support for Israeli security.”
On Wednesday, Israel also carried out air strikes, targeting allegedly Hamas facilities.
In the 11-day bombing of the Gaza Strip last month, at least 257 Palestinians were killed, including 66 children.
On the Israeli side, 13 people, including two children, were killed by rockets fired from Gaza.
