Large-scale demonstrations have been held in cities around the world, demanding an end to Israel’s deadly air strikes on the Gaza Strip.
Demonstrators waved flags and slogans, said “Free Palestine” and shouted “Long live the uprising” or uprising.
Some people also held signs that read “Not my name” and “Unity with Palestine”.
The Israeli bombing of the Gaza Strip has been carried out for the seventh consecutive day. An air strike was carried out earlier on Sunday, killing at least 26 Palestinians and wounding dozens of others.
The global solidarity march coincided with Nakba Day, a day when Palestinians around the world commemorated the displacement of thousands of Palestinians after Israel established Israel in 1948.
Nakba means “disaster” in Arabic.
