First time trying Lidl!

After taking stock, we don’t need a lot of groceries this week. I did a “survey” of Lidl to check. Overall, I love it!

Everything is well stocked, this is a A stark contrast to Aldi lately. Their prices are very similar Aldi’s new higher price (I’m obviously not excited about this, but I also know Inflation is happening everywhere now).

Their produce section is so much better than Aldi’s – more variety, choice and specialty items, and everything looks fresh! We don’t really need produce this week, but I’ll definitely be back. They also have a bigger freezer section, a great bakery, and just more choices overall.

The only thing I noticed that was much more expensive there (which we bought weekly) was cooked meat. Unfortunately, every week we buy things they don’t have – like unsweetened applesauce, rice cakes and cornflakes. I couldn’t find a space for these items on the shelf, so I think they just don’t carry them. Their fresh burgers are really expensive and don’t look good. (And I couldn’t find any frozen hamburgers.) We can skip the hamburgers this week because I don’t want to stop at another store this week.

Overall, this will definitely not be my last trip to Lidl! Feel free to share your Lidl ideas with this newbie. ????
