LONDON (Reuters)-The British government stated that the UK has published a list of the free UK carbon that each aircraft operator will receive from 2021 to 2025 under the country’s domestic emissions trading system (ETS) The number of emission permits.
ETS is a method of charging for every ton of carbon dioxide emitted by power plants and other industrial entities. After leaving the EU, the UK launched its own market to replace the EU’s ETS.
The UK’s ETS is suitable for energy-intensive industries, power generation industries and aviation.
According to the plan, some facilities and aircraft operators can obtain free emission permits to reduce the risk of companies moving their activities to other countries due to climate costs.
The government stated that after obtaining administrator approval, in the next few weeks, free licenses for the 2021 plan year will be allocated to operators holding accounts in the UK ETS registry.
