WASHINGTON (Reuters)-On Wednesday night, a landlord group asked a US judge in Washington to immediately lift the new eviction ban imposed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on Tuesday, calling the new order “illegal.”
The Alabama Association of Realtors stated that the CDC issued a new order “for blatant political reasons-to ease political pressure, to transfer the responsibility for ending the suspension to the courts, and to use the delay in litigation to achieve policy goals.”
