Intuitive surgery income, revenue in the second quarter exceeded Investing.com

Investing.com-Intuitive Surgical (NASDAQ:) announced on Tuesday its second-quarter results exceeded analysts’ expectations, and revenue also exceeded expectations.

Intuitive Surgical announced earnings per share of US$3.92 and revenue of US$1.46B. Analysts surveyed by Investing.com expect earnings per share of $3.07 and revenue of $1.27B.

Intuitive Surgical’s share price rose 16% from the beginning of the year, and still fell 1.09% from the 52-week high of $965.98 set on July 20. Their performance is better than the 14.28% rise at the beginning of the year.

Intuitive Surgical follows the earnings of other major healthcare industries this month

Intuitive Surgical’s report was released after HCA’s earnings exceeded expectations on Tuesday. The latter reported earnings per share of US$4.37 and revenue of US$14.44B, while forecast earnings per share were US$3.16 and revenue of US$13.61B.

Natera Inc exceeded expectations on Monday, with earnings per share of -1.05 US dollars and revenue of US$126.1 million in the second quarter, while expected earnings per share were US$1.07 and revenue of US$127.4 million.
