(Reuters)-Domino’s Pizza Company’s quarterly revenue on Thursday exceeded market expectations because its new menu items, including cheeseburgers and chicken taco pizza, stimulated the need for Americans to order food from the comfort of their homes.
According to Refinitiv’s IBES data, in the second quarter ended June 20, sales of Domino’s US stores that opened for more than a year increased by 3.5%, while sales are expected to fall by 1.3%.
Total revenue in the second quarter increased from US$920 million in the same period last year to US$1.03 billion. According to Refinitiv’s IBES data, the average analyst expects total revenue of 972.3 million US dollars.
