LONDON (Reuters)-Amy Winehouse’s family and friends review her life in a new documentary, recording the 10th anniversary of the singer’s death and telling her global fame The tragic experience of rising up and fighting against drug addiction.

Winehouse-Collins, who suffers from multiple sclerosis (MS), rarely talks about her daughter publicly, but she shared her views on the incident in the documentary, which was commissioned by BBC Two and BBC Music in the United Kingdom. Aired on Friday.

Winehouse has struggled with alcohol and drug problems for most of her career, and died of alcoholism at her home in North London on July 23, 2011. She is 27 years old.

“I look back, there are many things I wish I could do different things,” said her father Mitch Winehouse, who was criticized by the media for his struggles as a singer.

“After working behind closed doors, we all struggled with her addictive power,” Winehouse Collins said. “As her health deteriorates, my MS has progressed. I cannot help her.”

In happier moments, Winehouse-Collins would read her daughter’s school transcript, which showed her love for acting.

“Even if she is not here, she is here,” Winehouse Collins said while visiting her daughter’s gravestone. “Someone is always looking after me.”
