Whenever I see a new and interesting snack product in the grocery store, I always like to check the ingredients to see if it matches Real foodI mean, cooking from scratch is ideal, but if there is a shortcut, I totally agree! For two hungry teenagers, the fewer snacks I make (and clean up) myself, the better. There are only so many hours in a day!
Not all of these healthy packaged snacks contain Five or less complete ingredients, But many are close to or contain extra content that is not offensive. Of course, if you pursue perfection, you can set off a storm and prepare all the snacks yourself. When you are in a hurry, individually packaged snacks can be very useful! I agree that this is not the best from a zero waste point of view, but when your child is late for the third time and is therefore sent to Saturday school… It’s nice to have an extra item that you can grab and add quickly Put it in their lunch bag to make sure there is no hunger during the day!
2. Dried apricots
Of course, we can buy bags of dried apricots (no sulfur dioxide and processed dried apricots that don’t look good). But I am excited about these, because the individually packaged sets are perfect for travel and last-minute school lunches.
3. Whole cashews
When you need it when you travel or go to school, this is another convenient individually packaged snack. I am a big fan of cashews, and I like these cashews to have less salt than most people… Honestly, this is the perfect amount!

Personally, I am not a fan of beef jerky, but everyone else in my family is. This is a great snack on a trip or on a journey! There are many jerky options, but this is a clean option that they all like.
9. Trail combination

When I saw these in the store for the first time, I was very excited. I turned the bag around, expecting the ingredient list to be long and unpalatable, but these are some of the ingredients we commonly use when cooking at home. It is always fun to find something new at home and school lunch to make things interesting.My 14 year old loves these dips Hummus.
I do wish this ingredient list was shorter/better, but why is it hard to find good whole wheat pretzels? ?I still like Unique brand whole wheat pretzels (And their ingredients), but sometimes your kids just want a thin pretzel stick that looks ordinary, not a big horn twist as big as their hand.
These perishable snacks are currently our obsession. My daughters especially love the deli plates and graham crackers in school lunches! It is also perfect for a last-minute picnic or lunch during the journey. If you try salami-wrapped cheese at home, do me a favor and fry it in a pan for a few minutes before eating…to die!
