People on social media were angry at Wendy Williams’ reports of the murder of a young TikTok star, and some even called for the talk show host to be removed.
Many people think Wendy’s report of the 19-year-old TikTok star Swawi’s murder was insensitive and disrespectful. Swawi was shot dead in Delaware, and his family called it a “meaningless shooting.” British Broadcasting Corporation.
In Wendy’s “Hot Topics” section, Wendy introduced the young star to her audience by asking fans if they knew who he was.
“If you know who Swayv is, please applaud,” Wendy told her audience-obviously, she didn’t know the TikTok dancers.
Wendy then talked about Swavy’s social media and compared it with her own.
“Well, he is a TikTok star. He has more fans than me. 2.5 million,” she said, and was interrupted by one of her producers. He said, “On TikTok, but on Instagram, you have more Many followers.”
“As for TikTok, I don’t use it. At all. I don’t know what it is. I don’t want to get involved,” Wendy replied.
Then she turned to the Swavy image on the screen, seemingly disapproving of the boy’s appearance, and then shockingly revealed that the boy had been murdered.
