Roommates, if you know anything about Tina Lawson, it’s probably because she dismissed her talented daughters Beyonce and Solange! After Trick Daddy’s campaign last week Singing to slander Beyoncé Ability, Tina released a retro clip of a superstar stunted in the studio! In this 30-second video, Beyoncé can be heard only using her voice to imitate a solo guitar in a conversation with producer DJ Swivel.
“I was always in awe when she did this,” Tina wrote in her caption. “She also uses other instruments to do this!!!”
DJ Swivel, whose real name is Jordan Young, is a Toronto-born “producer, mixer and songwriter”. According to his official website. In 2012, he won a Grammy Award for his album “4” with Beyonce, and subsequently won a Grammy Award for his collaboration with her album “Beyonce”.
On Tuesday, Tina released the clip Beyoncé made for the song “I Care” in the studio. The source of the clip is unclear, but once it was posted to Tina’s Instagram account, it began to circulate online. Unfortunately, for enthusiastic fans, the video is just a screen recording of song mixing technology, not a glimpse of Houston’s genius.
The title of the clip is “Beyoncé’s Engineer (DJ Swivel shares her voice in her “I care” studio”.” Another title at the bottom of the video is “Her voice is crazy.” DJ Swivel is said to be heard Speaking.
“She imitated the guitar solo with her own voice, which I have never heard before, but let’s see if we can pull it up,” DJ Swivel said.
After the short sound of the guitar solo, Beyonce effortlessly Take over her singing. She was strong at first, then raised her voice a few notches to conquer the voice—obviously to show her range. A few seconds later, there was applause from unknown sources in the voice-over. The editing ends with DJ Swivel giving the star a well-deserved compliment.
“She killed it,” he said. “Yes it is.”
