Darnella Frazier recorded the murder of George Floyd last year, which eventually led to the conviction of former police officer Derek Chauvin. Unfortunately, Danela and her family are now dealing with their own personal losses.
according to NBC NewsOn Tuesday, Danella shared on social media that her uncle Leneal Lamont Frazier was killed in a collision involving a police car in Minneapolis. She said in the post: “To be honest, I can’t believe I’m posting this post now… I’m very hurt… Nothing feels real.” And added that these police officers “sacrificed their innocence in order to catch others. s life”.
On Monday night, Minneapolis police killed Danela Fraser’s uncle. Frazier was the woman who filmed the murder of George Floyd, and she will receive the Pulitzer Honor Award.

The Minneapolis police issued a statement saying that the police are pursuing a carjacking suspect who was involved in multiple robberies. While pursuing the suspect, their vehicle collided with another car. According to reports, the police involved were seriously injured, but not life-threatening. Unfortunately, the driver of the other vehicle was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital.
The Minnesota State Patrol will investigate the crash.
As we reported earlier, Danela got the honor Pulitzer Prize Come back in June. She was the one who recorded the viral video, which captured the last 9 minutes and 29 seconds of George Floyd’s life, when he shouted to be released from Derek Joven’s knee.
