#Roommates, Johnson & Johnson It is again at the center of major health-related issues involving several of its products. According to the new report, Johnson & Johnson is recalling its Neutrogena and Aveeno sunscreen products after discovering levels of carcinogenic chemicals.

@NBCNews reported that earlier this week, Johnson & Johnson officially announced Decided to recall After the samples were found to contain low levels of chemical benzene, five of its Neutrogena and Aveeno sunscreen products were discovered-it is well known that repeated exposure can cause cancer. The recalled products include the following products contained in aerosol cans: Aveeno Protect + Refresh aerosol sunscreen, Neutrogena Beach Defense aerosol sunscreen, Neutrogena CoolDry Sport aerosol sunscreen, Neutrogena Invisible Daily Defense aerosol sunscreen and Neutrogena UltraSheer Aerosol sunscreen. This recall applies to all listed sunscreen products of various sizes and SPF levels.

The company said it found benzene in the product after conducting company tests in an independent laboratory-the company is currently investigating how it got into sunscreen. In addition, the company further revealed that it is working to remove the contaminated products from all stores across the country. Customers who bought sunscreen have been told that they can call the company’s consumer service center to request a refund.

In a recently released statement, the company resolved the recall, stating that “the use of these products will not cause adverse health effects” and that the recall is voluntary “out of prudent consideration.”

It is well known that repeated exposure to benzene at high concentrations can cause cancer, which can damage the immune system and prevent cells from performing their normal functions. Symptoms may include dizziness, irregular heartbeat, and convulsions, which can lead to death in severe cases.
