Sources told “THR” that NBC and its in-house studio Universal Television wanted to bring the show back to the fifth (and final) season, but could not reach a financial agreement to allow the show to continue for another season.
The situation of the show doesn’t look good—Christina Hendricks, May Whitman, and Leita are friends involved in criminal activities—because the ratings for this season have dropped.
In the fourth quarter, there were only 700,000 viewers among the 18-49 year-olds, a decrease of more than 22% year-on-year. Taking into account the 7-day delay, the total number of viewers was 2.74 million.
After NBC’s former co-president of scripted content, Tracey Pakosta (Tracey Pakosta) left NBC to become Netflix’s director of comedy, Netflix’s deal seemed likely – she renewed the show several times during the network’s operations. One factor that may become a program transfer problem is that Universal Television requires Netflix to bear more program production costs.
