Former Minnesota police officer charged with first-degree manslaughter in the death of Daunte Wright

according to Fox News, Minnesota’s Attorney General Keith Ellison took note of the demands of human rights activists and has formally decided to escalate Kim’s allegations. Attorney General Ellison added first-degree manslaughter to her current charge. His office said in its announcement on Thursday that these allegations “constitute the entirety of the public comments of the Office of the Attorney General”. In addition, they stated that she allegedly handled her pistol recklessly.

As we reported earlier, Kim claimed that she planned to use a taser instead of a pistol when shooting Daunte. In the first-degree manslaughter charge, it also stated that she endangered the safety of others when death or major bodily injury could be reasonably foreseen. The second-degree manslaughter charge alleges that when she consciously used a gun to cause death or major bodily harm, she acted guilty of negligence and assumed unreasonable risks.

Jin Zheng sees that the maximum sentence for first-degree manslaughter is 15 years, and the maximum sentence for second-degree manslaughter is 10 years. However, state sentencing guidelines require fewer requirements. The Wright family does not seem to be excited about this accusation. On Wednesday, before the press release, they spoke with the Associated Press and said they were “obviously disappointed” because it was not murdered.
