For 18-year-old Bhad Bhabie, this seems to be a potential learning experience. After Bhad Bhabie was frustrated with her critics, the conversation with Lil Yachty on Instagram Live quickly turned into a shout .
Lil Yachty has worked with Bhad Bhabie before, and she discussed with Bhad Bhabie how she responds to criticism, especially from the public and black communities.
Bhad Bhabie expressed her consistent Suspected of cultural misappropriation.
Yachty from the coaching position tried to talk to Bhad Bhabie about her reaction and why he felt that her message did not connect with her audience.
“You think if you yell at a screen that people like,” Yachty said before being interrupted by Bhad Bhabie.
Essentially, Yachty explained that defending herself is not a problem, but how she does it often only adds fuel to the fire.
“I need you to understand that this is a better way to express your opinion,” Yachty said, his voice drowned out by Bhad Bhabie’s shouts.
His words made her into a rant, and she said she was tired of being accused of misappropriating black culture.
“Listen, one thing I really hate is that the whole’Bhad Bhabie’s is a cultural appropriator,” she said.
Bhad Bhabie then went on to break down her own definition of cultural appropriation, further explaining that she did not appropriate black culture.
“Cultural appropriation is, if I want to sit up and say…a certain race looks ugly, then I will do it myself,” she said. “Or, if I say that black girls look ugly with braids, and I take them, it is cultural misappropriation. Or when a girl puts chopsticks on her hair, it is cultural misappropriation. That is the culture of someone result in negative effect.”
Yachty tries to get Bhad Bhabie back to the topic, but she still has something to say.
“‘Oh, she wants to be black,’ but if I want to be black, why am I racist? It makes sense!” Bud Barbie said. “This is where I am really angry, because it’s like, where did you get it? Like what, because I have a hooded accent?”
