Believe it or not, this is almost that time of the year-when school is over, summer reading plans abound. Yay! (Well, some of you may not say “Yes!”, but we do it because my kids love some of their summer reading programs!)
Note: It is recommended that you call your local store to confirm that they have participated in these programs this year.
Free reading program for summer 2021
Does your child also like to read? If so, this is an important list of all our free summer reading programs available nationwide!
Amazon -Children who have read eight books this summer can bring a list of the books they have read To the nearest Amazon retail store Get a star reader certificate and free books of their choice.
Barnes and the Nobility-Get a free book for children in grades 1-6 through the Barnes & Noble Summer Reading Program.
Read any eight books this summer and record them in your Summer Reading Journal (PDF download). Tell them which part of the book you like best and why.
Bring the completed diary to the Barnes & Noble store between July 1st and August 31st, 2021.
Choose a free book from the Reading Journal list in the store.
Million copies —Read any four books in the “Summer Reading Adventure” section in the store or online, write them in your summer reading adventure log, and get “Because Winn Dixie Notepad and Pen” for free (while stocks last).
Chuck Cheese —When children can read for two weeks every day, they can fill in their reading reward calendar and redeem them with 10 free game points at your local Chuck E. Cheese store.
Half price book — Children under the age of 14 can read for 15 minutes a day, for a total of at least 300 minutes. After that, they can bring the complete reading log to the local store to earn Bookworm Bucks. (In addition, they have a summer reading program for teenagers.)
HEB —Read any ten books and record them in your reading log to get a free T-shirt! After the log is completed, mail the form to the address listed and you will receive a special prize. Please note that one of the books you have read must be 3 books.
Pizza Hut Camp Reservation -Except them Annual school year plan, Pizza Hut has launched a summer reading program called “Camp Book” this year! Just keep track of your child’s reading in June, July and August. Once they reach their monthly reading goal, they can redeem a free personal pizza at Pizza Hut!
Local library —Most importantly, don’t forget your local library! Most of them provide fun summer reading programs, and provide prizes and more.
