According to Saudi Arabia’s proposal, a feasibility study will be conducted to convert the prototype competition into a biennial format
FIFA has admitted that for the men’s and women’s championships, FIFA will investigate the possibility of hosting the World Cup every two years instead of every four years.
At the annual meeting, after the Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF) made a recommendation, the organization will conduct a feasibility study on the consequences of the decision.
The next men’s championship will be held in Qatar at the end of 2022, and the Australia/New Zealand 2023 competition will be held eight months later, but any possible future reorganization may force broad changes in club competitions and intercontinental competitions such as the European Championship and the Americas cup.
