WWE announced that it will start touring in 25 cities from July to attract live crowds

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, WWE has returned to the live tour for the first time. On Friday, the promotion announced live tours in 25 cities that will begin in July.

The tour kicked off with three performances in Texas. On July 16, SmackDown will be held at the Toyota Center in Houston. The July 18th content is the pay-per-view “bank deposit” at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth. On July 19, Raw landed at the American Airlines Center in Dallas. Tickets for these events will go on sale on May 26. Dates and locations after July 19 will be announced in the near future.

In mid-March 2020, WWE moved the event to the empty WWE Performance Center in Orlando, and continued to hold weekly TV and monthly pay-per-view events without crowds. WWE launched ThunderDome in August and placed nearly 1,000 LED panels in the Amway Center in Orlando to enable fans to “virtually” participate in the event and restore the high production value that Performance Center cannot obtain.

In December, ThunderDome moved to Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida, and then to the Yuengling Center in Tampa in April.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, the only WWE event involving live fans is the two-day WrestleMania 37 in April. The event is held at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa and has a limited number of matches.
