The Delhi Capitals (DC) will take on the Rajasthan Royals (RR) in match number 34 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Friday. This will be an evening game and hence will begin at 7: 30 PM. Delhi are currently at the sixth position in the points table with three wins and as many losses. On the other hand, Rajasthan are in third place with eight points from six matches.
DC will go into Friday’s match on a high, having thumped the Punjab Kings (PBKS) by nine wickets in their IPL 2022 previous encounter at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. Bowling first, Delhi restricted a lethargic Punjab to 115. Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav and Khaleel Ahmed all claimed two wickets each while Mustafizur Rahman was economical. With the bat, Prithvi Shaw and David Warner raced away in the chase.
There are still some areas Delhi need to work on though. Skipper Rishabh Pant hasn’t hit prime form yet while Rovman Powell hasn’t done anything with the bat. Lalit Yadav and Sarfaraz Khan haven’t got many chances to bat with the openers firing on all cylinders.

RR came from behind to stun the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in their previous game. Chasing 218, Kolkata raced to 107 for 1 inside nine overs before RR hit back. Yuzvendra Chahal was brilliant, claiming 5 for 40, which included a hat- trick and a game-changing four wickets in one over. Jos Buttler continued his terrific form, striking his second hundred of the IPL season.
Their bowling looks strong with Trent Boult’s return, but Prasidh Krishna has been expensive in a couple of matches. Ravichandran Ashwin too hasn’t looked very threatening. They should stick to Obed McCoy for a few games.
