new York, May 18 2021 / PRNewswire /- Data dog, Inc. (NASDAQ:dog) (A monitoring and security platform for cloud applications) today announced that it supports the use of AWS App Runner for application monitoring, and has joined Amazon Web Services (AWS) as the launch partner of a new fully managed service. This new feature will help engineering and product teams expand, deploy and monitor their applications without having to manage their own infrastructure.
AWS App Runner is a dedicated container application service that enables customers to build and run containerized web applications and APIs without prior container or infrastructure experience. Customers only need to provide their source code, container image or deployment pipeline, and AWS App Runner will build and deploy the application, automatically handling the required load balancing, encryption, and scaling.
Datadog’s integration with AWS App Runner allows customers to fully monitor applications managed by AWS App Runner to:
- Recognition error: Track the success rate of the request to detect problems in the code that caused the error.
- Ensure sufficient resources: Understand applications that have insufficient or over-provisioned computing and memory.
- Know when to zoom in or out: Understand the application delay to set the correct auto-scaling rules.
- Ensure safety: Observe and analyze all AWS App Runner API activities.
“At Datadog, we are committed to helping customers monitor their applications anytime, anywhere,” he said. Ilan Rabinovitch, Senior Vice President of Products and Community at Datadog. “With AWS App Runner, customers can now more easily deploy and extend their web applications from container images or source code repositories. Through our new integration, customers can monitor their AWS App Runner metrics, logs, and events to better Troubleshoot problems quickly and determine the best resources and expansion settings for their application.”
“We are very happy to see Datadog integrate its monitoring capabilities with AWS App Runner at launch,” Fernando Zandona, General Manager of AWS Serverless Containers. “By eliminating the need to manage and configure infrastructure, AWS App Runner makes it easy for teams to build, deploy and run modern web applications in just a few minutes.
