Adam Scherr is enjoying some breathing room after eight years as Braun Strowman under the WWE banner. Scherr officially joined WWE in 2013 and made his roster debut in 2015. Within six years of officially becoming a WWE Superstar, Strowman has captured WWE Universal, Intercontinental and Tag Team Championships, as well as Bank Briefcase and Greatest Royal Rumble.
Scherr showed up at the Ring of Honor’s Halo event on Dec. 11 and set up some independent bookings. Scherr denied reports of renegotiation with Impact Wrestling in an interview with CBS Sports. In fact, he claims not to be actively seeking a full-time deal with any professional wrestling company.
“I’m not looking for a full-time signing,” Scheer said. “I want to enjoy some of my time. I love the art of professional wrestling, and eight years in WWE is very time-consuming. I’m very, very lucky to have the opportunities that I have. I see the world, all these things. But for the past six months, it’s been great to take a step back and take a breath. I forgot about all these little things that mean so much in my life. Time flies and you forget it. You didn’t have a chance to do that. So I Catching up on spending time with family and loved ones. Committed to my mental and physical health. Working towards the price of being a WWE Superstar for eight years.
“Going on TV full time every week, I’m not going to lie, it’s a lot of stress. It’s nice not to have the added stress factor every week. Now, I just want to enjoy my time. Have fun, sell out some buildings, raise for some charities Some funding, and then go out and do what I do, which puts a smile on people’s faces.”

Scherr will soon be with Qatar Pro Wrestling and Dating in Dubai broken by CBS Sports earlier this week. “Titans” confirmed that former WWE Superstar Killer Cross will join Scherr and EC3 in the “Unleashed Narrative” content.
“You’re going to see more products moving forward,” Scherr said. “Kross is also going to be in Qatar. It’s going to be part of our next move to wake up the wrestling industry. There’s a lot going on at the moment. I’ll give You hint a little, and he’s in there.”
After the WWE launch, Scherr opened up about his exploits on a podcast. Mental health is a priority for Scheer in his and others’ lives.
“Learn to really discuss my problems. Everyone has problems and it’s rude to swallow your feelings. That’s not going to work. It does take a while, but eventually, you swallow so much that you blow up . This is what happened to me,” Schell said. “Your friends, your family, your loved ones. That’s the coolest thing about being human, and what separates us from the animal kingdom and thinks we’re superior on earth is that we can work together to overcome obstacles.
“I want to be remembered for more than just beating people in wrestling.”
To that end, Scherr is developing a mental health app called Diskuss.
“It’s in the flowering stage. We launched it around Thanksgiving and it’s really starting to grow,” he said. “It provides you access to licensed certified therapists, mental coaches, life coaches via audio, video and text messaging 24 hours a day. It is fully encrypted so all your information is protected.
“But the coolest thing is that it gives you the opportunity to do it in the comfort of your own home. A lot of people, including the first time I went to talk to someone, were very, very nervous about it. A very comfortable option will help more people to be able to overcome the obstacles that a lot of people have faced in their lives.”
Scherr faced backlash in March 2020 after criticizing fundraising and crowdfunding efforts to support independent wrestlers who lost their jobs due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Here, we have more people paying for my bill,” Scherr wrote then. “If you can’t pay the bills, maybe you should change careers. That’s why I quit the strongman. I love it, but I can’t afford a life like this, instead of going to fund me or want someone else’s Patreon to take care of me, I went out and worked harder than ever in my life to get to where I am now. What’s wrong with taking responsibility for my actions??????!!!”
Thinking back on that quote, Scheer stood by his intentions, but admitted that it aged badly.
“I still believe it. In my opinion, people take it out of context,” Schell said. “Is it aging badly? Absolutely. I made this comment a few months before the lockdown, before all this stuff. Of course, everyone was crazy about it and trying to get more out of it than clickbait. Finally That day, in my opinion, was motivating, what I was trying to talk about. Sometimes in life your goals and your dreams, you just can’t. That’s the point, boring and simple. So many people, I think Think, have been content to take their problems and let others be their problems.
“Sometimes you need to take control of your destiny. That’s how I am in the strongman. I’m a top five strongest on the planet. I love it. I don’t want to leave the sport, but I can’t pay my bills. So One day you have to realize what is achievable and achievable and what you have to do to survive. That’s why all of this is taken out of context. Some people don’t like it. Some people do it. Whatever How, it doesn’t bother me. That’s what I still believe. I’ve worked so hard for everything I’ve gotten in my life. Tell people, ‘Hey, this is an inspiring thing, and sometimes this might not be for you. Go and try something else. See what happens. “That’s what it was for me. See what I’m doing.
