The West Coast MTO Agreement (WCMTOA) today reminded port users that the Traffic Mitigation Fee (TMF) for the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach will revert to pre-December rates on February 1, 2022.

On November 10, WCMTOA announced that between December 1 and January 31, TMF will be temporarily adjusted to $78.23 per TEU and will only be charged during the day shift on weekdays. Temporary changes to TMF levels and rules are designed to create economic incentives to move more containers during off-peak hours by charging TMF only during peak hours.

In early February, TMF will revert to $34.21 per TEU (20 foot equivalent unit) or for all other size containers for non-exempt international container shipments through port terminals and will again pay all fees. Terminal operation hours.
