When the WWE Royal Battle landed in St. Louis, Missouri on January 29, one of the biggest events of the professional wrestling year will end. This event is the beginning of what WWE calls the “WrestleMania Season” promotion and is moving towards the biggest wrestling match.
The Royal Rumble card is still being combined, but we know that in addition to the men’s and women’s Rumble games, Brock Lesnar will also compete with Bobby Lashley for the WWE championship.
More games will be confirmed in the next few weeks, and as WrestleMania approaches, WWE is expected to end the game with a large number of large-scale showdowns.
Like all major WWE events, Royal Rumble will be broadcast live on Peacock. The main card will start at 8pm Eastern Time, and the performance will begin one hour ago.
Let’s take a look at what we know in WWE Royal Rumble-and what we expect.
WWE Royal Battle
WWE Championship-Brock Lesner (c) vs. Bobby Leslie: Lesner won the WWE Championship on Day 1, winning five deadly matches against Lashley, Big E, Seth Rollins and Kevin Owens. Lesner eventually participated in the competition because Roman Raines tested positive for COVID-19. Following Raw, Lashley won a shot in a four-man game against Lesnar. This established the long-awaited first meeting between Lesnar and Lashley, who are the two most powerful wrestlers of their generation.
Miz & Maryse vs. Edge & Beth Phoenix: Since Edge and Miz started to confuse things, it seems that the obvious end is a mixed tag match involving their wives. Both Maryse and Phoenix are former champions. They no longer participate in the ring competition, but will participate in Rumble’s major competition. Maryse tried to help Miz win on the first day, but was chased by Phoenix and started the game.
Men’s Royal Battle: Interestingly, “Jackass” star Johnny Knoxville was the first to announce that he would participate in the Royal War, and he announced the news through a video broadcast on the first day. A small number of participants are now known, but there are more people to participate and the surprise after the real game starts. Participants: Johnny Knoxville, Montez Ford, Angelo Dawkins, Rey Mysterio, Dominik Mysterio.
Women’s Royal Battle: So far, no participants in the competition have been announced. However, we can expect to discover a lot in the next few weeks, and as with the men’s side, there will almost certainly be many surprise contestants.
WWE Royal Battle Forecast
Raw Women’s Championship-Becky Lynch (c) vs. Bianca Belair vs. Dudrop vs. Liv Morgan: Bel Air, Dudrop and Morgan are all preparing for a triple-threat match, and the winner will defeat Lynch in the Royal Battle. It feels possible that we did not have a clear winner, and all three women eventually participated in the championship. Doudrop will be the freshest challenger, but the heel-to-heel match in major events doesn’t make much sense. Morgan has lost two championship titles, and Bel Air has had an argument with Lynch. It seems reasonable to throw everyone on the wall to add some confusion.
Raw Tag Team Champion-RK-Bro (c) vs. Alpha Academy: Chad Gable and Otis have caused a lot of trouble for Randy Orton and Riddle recently. The two also vowed to end RK-Bro’s reign as champions. WWE wants RK-Bro-a very excessive behavior for fans-pay-per-view, and there is no clearer team to challenge the belt than Alpha Academy.
SmackDown Women’s Championship-Charlotte Flair (c) vs. Sasha Banks: Flair needs a challenger, especially Toni Storm who withdrew from WWE amidst endless disputes with the championship. Before Storm left, Banks had collaborated with Storm against Flair on SmackDown, and Banks and Flair had recently collaborated in live events. This seems to imply that Banks vs. Fryer will be the direction WWE chooses to take in one of their biggest shows of the year. Banks was injured in one of the live events, but then tweeted that she was fine, so the plan can continue.
