In a recent interview, Balisha confirmed that his son also had to deal with depression early in his life because he found himself rejected after a terrible outing at the U-14 and U-16 levels in Andhra Pradesh. Shaik Rasheed considered giving up the sport at this stage of his life, letting the seeds of doubt and disappointment germinate in his mind.
But again, it was Barisha who came to rescue Rashid. He persuaded his son not to give up and revived his cricket career. Rashid resumed his hard training and continued to climb the ladder through the U-19 age group. First is Andhra Pradesh, then India.

Today, when his son sets his sights on the unforgettable World Cup in the West Indies, Balisha recalls the times when Shaik Rasheed used to play nearby and smashed his glasses with his explosive shots. Seeing the notorious children doing their thing, the neighbors encouraged Barisha to let his son enter a nearby cricket academy. After Guntur initially looked for a suitable coach, Balisha and Rasheed moved to Hyderabad, where the batsman entered the Andhra Pradesh Cricket Academy.
Balisha has two sons, but the elders of the two are more interested in learning. When he knew which of his boys had aspirations for cricket, Barisha put all his passion for the game into Shaik. Barisha said he wanted to play cricket for India, but could not pursue it seriously for various reasons. With this in mind, he just wants his son to play cricket wholeheartedly, and then one day continue to represent the country.

Barisha also said that Sheik’s cricket idol is the current captain of the Indian Test team and full-format global cricket star Verat Koli.
