Australian cricket team boss Nick Hawkley said on Sunday that the police were assisting the management agency after a confidential report submitted to its anti-corruption department was leaked to the media.
Melbourne’s The Times reported on Sunday that it had received a recording of a phone call between a woman and former Commissioner Sean Carroll of the Australian cricket team. The woman claimed that a player had ingested cocaine. .

It is not clear when the call occurred. Carroll left the Australian Cricket Team (CA) a year ago.
Hawkley said the woman’s report was “unconfirmed” and “historical,” but the board of directors has contacted the police regarding the leak.

Hawkley said that CA regularly reviews its integrity reporting processes to ensure they are “absolutely best practices.”
The leak occurred just over a month after the confidential investigation of the CA Integrity Department of former captain Tim Paine was made public, which prompted the ticket inspector to resign as captain and withdraw from the team.
Paine admitted to sending a sexually explicit text message to a former Tasmanian cricket team staff member in 2017, but was cleared of misconduct by a CA investigation the following year.
