Sanju Samson showed off his gloved talent in the 4th round on Sunday (December 12) Vijay Hazard Trophy 2021-22 competition.

In an important Group D elite match, Samson led Kerala against Chattisgarh, and he completed a frustrating thriller of dismissal.

In the game against Chattisgarh, the Kerala goalkeeper batsman played his best with gloves, because he sent his opponent’s opening show Sanjeet Desai back to the game with his exciting gloves.

Sanju Samson showcased the brilliance of the goalkeeper in VJHT 2021-22

The dismissal took place in the 20th inning in Chattisgarh. Sanjeet and No. 3 batsman Harpreet Singh lost an early wicket without hitting base and forged an important partnership to revive their team.

But just as the 92-point stand threatened to take away the game from Kerala, when Captain Sanju Samson and mid-size fast bowler MD Nidheesh brilliantly returned Sanjeet, they got a much-needed breakthrough.

Nidheesh ran to his fourth pitch on the 20th and finally pitched a bowling ball on the side of his leg. However, Sanjit, who wanted to flick the pacemaker from the side, lost his balance and eventually lost his footing.

This is when Sanju Samson demonstrated his outstanding agility and goalkeeping skills by taking advantage of Sanjeet’s slipping in the crease. The moment Sanjeet walked out of the hitting zone, Samson quickly removed the bail and fired his team in time.

What stands out at the moment is Samson’s excellent footwork and soft hands. He caught the ball quickly, then moved to the side of his leg with momentum, and then took the ball off with his quick hands.

It was the dismissal that caused the collapse. Kerala continued to eliminate Chattisgarh in 189 in 46.2 games, even though they led 93/2 in a stage of the 20th game.

Samson’s men then continued to chase the goal easily, winning with 5 wickets and more than 15 remaining goals.

The resounding victory brought Kerala to the top of the elite group D standings with a record of three wins and one loss. They played against Uttarakhand in the last group match in Rajkot on Tuesday (December 14).
