The French Football Association said on Monday that midfielder Paul Pogba was excluded from France’s World Cup qualifiers against Kazakhstan and Finland due to a right thigh injury.
The Manchester United player was seen leaving Monday’s training session with team doctor Frank Legar.
The statement read: “Paul Pogba was forced to withdraw from France in the next two games against Kazakhstan in Princes Park and Finland against Finland in Helsinki.”
He will be replaced by Roma’s Jordan Verretto.

The French team ranked among the top in Group D qualifying with 12 points in 6 games. The victory over Kazakhstan will ensure the team a place in the World Cup finals next year.
However, coach Didier Deschamps warned against complacency, because the world champion team has not won any of the seven group matches.
Deschamps said at the press conference: “The important thing is to achieve our goals and qualify for the World Cup. All my energy and attention must be focused on this.”
“We cannot think that we are already qualified because it is only Kazakhstan. We will go all out to win the game.”
France will also travel to Finland next Tuesday.
