England coach Gareth Southgate said that due to the short turnaround time before the Qatar World Cup mid-season, he will rely heavily on the club to provide health updates and ease injury concerns next year.
The Premier League announced that its 2022-23 season will be suspended on the weekend of November 12-13, giving the national team only one week to work with players who are trading in England’s top league before the opening of the World Cup on November 21.

National teams usually have two to three weeks to prepare their teams before the World Cup and other end-of-season games, but the games from November to December posed a new problem.
