Today, AVANGRID, Inc. (New York Stock Exchange stock code:Annual growth rate), a leading sustainable energy company, sued Security Limits, Inc. and its owner and CEO Paulo Silva in New Mexico, alleging defamation and infringement intervention. In the lawsuit, AVANGRID explained how the disgruntled former AVANGRID Networks subcontractor Silva intervened in the merger review process between AVANGRID and PNM Resources in New Mexico. AVANGRID had previously refuted his threats if AVANGRID did not agree to enter into a new contract with him.
Silva of Security Limits is using the New Mexico Public Regulatory Commission (PRC) merger review process as part of the AVANGRID blackmail. His claim was echoed by New Energy Economy (NEE), the only opponent of the merger, in an attempt to get China to reject the merger.
