Fifa Vice President Victor Montagliani proposed a possible compromise solution to the biennial World Cup proposal, which splits the global governing body.

“What I want to see is the (analytical) consequences, not in terms of revenue, but the impact on the ecosystem we currently have. I think our approach is to look at this stance as a whole,” he added.

The Canadians stated that one of the advantages of the Confederations Cup model is that there is no need for a separate qualification process-considering that the team will win their seats through the existing Continental Championship.
