Calgary, AB, December 2, 2021 /CNW/-E3 Metals Corporation (Toronto Stock Exchange:ETMC) (FSE: OU7A) (OTCQX:Electromagnetic field) (“Company” or “E3 Metals”), an emerging lithium developer and leading direct lithium extraction (“DLE”) technology innovator, is pleased to announce its Lab-Pilot Prototype (“Prototype”) first Group result) has been operating since October. Prototype is E3’s largest DLE system to date, with two independent series, with a brine flow rate of up to 120 liters/hour.
An initial series of 11 tests was conducted before the multi-cycle test to determine the operating parameters of the long-running program. The equipment and automation performed as expected, providing a high degree of confidence in the basic design of the long-term plan. Measured by the total recovery rate of lithium, Prototype’s performance exceeded expectations. The peak recovery rate recorded during these tests was as high as 97%. In all tests, the average lithium recovery rate remained above 90%, and in most cases it was usually as high as 95%.
Prototype is currently running a long-term test program using a form of adsorbent on the No. 1 train. The test will end in mid-to-late December, and the results are expected in the new year. The second batch of the prototype has already begun preliminary testing of the second form of adsorbent, and results are expected to be available early in the new year.
“We are very excited about these results”, CEO
