“We decided through our conversations with Kane and Kyle that they will not participate in this T20 series,” said coach Gary Stead Stuff.co.nz.

New Zealand finished runner-up in the T20 World Cup on Sunday and will face India in the T20I opener here on Wednesday. The second and third T20I will be held on November 19th and November 21st, respectively, and then two test series will start in Kanpur on November 25th.

Stead also confirmed that the pacemaker Locke Ferguson who injured his calf at the beginning of the UAE T20 World Cup has fully recovered and can participate in the opener of the series.
