The International Cricket Committee appointed Geoff Allardice as interim chief executive on Sunday for more than eight months.
“It’s an honor to be appointed as the CEO of ICC, and I want to thank Greg and the ICC Board of Directors for the opportunity to lead this movement as we enter an exciting new growth phase,” Allardice said in the ICC Bulletin.

Greg Barclay, Chairman of ICC, Said: “I am very happy that Geoff has agreed to permanently serve as the CEO of ICC. He demonstrated extraordinary leadership skills during a challenging period and finally successfully hosted the 2021 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
“Jeff has unparalleled knowledge of the global cricket landscape and its stakeholders, and has always proven that he is the right person to work with our members to shape the sport for the next decade as we begin to implement new strategies and our next Commercial rights cycle.”
Allardice has been the general manager of the ICC Cricket Department for eight years.
