Investing.com-The Indian stock market fell on Friday, and the decline in the shares and other sectors led the stock index lower.
At the close of the NSE, the index fell 0.35%, while the index fell 0.39%.
The best performer in the meeting is Industrial Bank Ltd. (NS:) rose 3.19% or 31.80 points to close at 1029.50.At the same time, Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Co., Ltd. (NS:) rose 2.47% or 17.15 points to close at 710.70 and Indian Petroleum Corporation Ltd (NS:) rose 1.88% or 1.95 points to 105.90 in late trading.
The worst performance in this session was Cipla Ltd. (NS:) fell 3.61% or 34.10 points to close at 911.30. Reliance Industries Ltd (NS:) fell 2.12% or 45.20 points to close at 2089.05 and Shi Rui Cement Ltd. (NS:) fell 1.89% or 546.65 points to 28420.00.
The best performers in the BSE Sensex 30 were IndusInd Bank Ltd. (BO:) which rose 3.11% to 1029.20, Bharti Airtel Ltd (BO:) which rose 1.49% to close at 607.80 and Tech Mahindra Ltd (BO:) which rose 1.37% to close at 1264.90 .
The worst performer was Reliance Industries Ltd (BO:), which fell 2.07% to 2089.05 in late trading, UltraTech Cement Ltd (BO:) fell 1.70% to close at 7527.30, and the State Bank of India (BO:) fell 1.40% to close at 435.65.
The number of rising stocks on the National Stock Exchange of India exceeded the number of falling stocks from 946 to 742, and 39 remained unchanged; on the Bombay Stock Exchange, 1728 rose, 1339 fell, and 107 closed unchanged.
The share price of Tech Mahindra Ltd (BO:) rose to a 5-year high; it rose 1.37% or 17.05 to 1264.90.
A measure of the implied volatility of Nifty 50 options fell 2.06% to 12.6075.
Gold futures for December delivery fell 0.53%, or US$9.65, to US$1,79.25 per troy ounce. In other aspects of commodity trading, crude oil for delivery in September rose 1.27% or US$0.88 to US$69.97 per barrel, while the October Brent crude oil contract rose 1.22% or US$0.87 to US$72.16 per barrel.
The US dollar/Indian rupee rose 0.07% to 74.148, while the euro/Indian rupee fell 0.13% to 87.5580.
The dollar index futures rose 0.18% to 92.418.
