The best performer in the meeting is News Corp B DRC (ASX:) rose 7.88% or 2.57 points to close at 35.20. at the same time, Unibail Rodamco Westfield (ASX:) rose 5.62% or 0.33 points to close at 6.20, Afterpay Touch Group Ltd (ASX:) rose 5.50% or 6.89 points to close at 132.15 in late trading.
The worst performance in this session was Perseus Mining Co., Ltd. (ASX:), the stock fell 5.41% or 0.090 points to close at 1.575. Domain Holdings Australia Ltd (ASX:) fell 4.94% or 0.24 points to close at 4.62 and Rhea Group Co., Ltd. (ASX:) fell 4.70% or 7.86 points to 159.42.
The number of rising stocks on the Sydney Stock Exchange exceeded the number of falling stocks by 721, reaching 644 and 405 remaining unchanged.

The indicator measuring the implied volatility of S&P/ASX 200 options fell 2.39% to 11.127.
Gold futures for December delivery fell 0.38%, or US$6.95, to US$1801.95 per troy ounce. In other commodity transactions, crude oil for September delivery rose 0.43% or $0.30 to $69.39 per barrel, while the October Brent crude oil contract rose 0.43% or $0.31 to $71.60 per barrel.
The AUD/USD fell 0.14% to 0.7394, while the AUD/JPY fell 0.14% to 81.14.
The dollar index futures rose 0.05% to 92.302.
