(Reuters)-A county spokesperson said that two tornadoes landed in Bucks County, Pennsylvania on Thursday, causing the roof of a car dealership to collapse and many people were injured.

Jim O’Malley, deputy director of the Bucks County Department of Public Information, said that a cyclone broke out in Bensalem, Pennsylvania after 5 pm EST. The car dealership building was hit there.

O’Malley said the second tornado is believed to have landed in Salisbury, Pennsylvania at about the same time. Bucks County is located in northeast Philadelphia, on the border of New Jersey.

O’Malley said the authorities are responding to several reports of injuries but were unable to provide the total number of casualties.

The Philadelphia Inquirer reported that the storm cut power to more than 8,000 homes and businesses.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS), the area’s rainfall was between 1 and 3 inches (2.5 to 5 cm) in a short period of Thursday afternoon, and the bureau issued a report to parts of Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Flash flood warning.

In the announcement, the weather department urged motorists not to go on the road until the bad weather passed.

“Turn around… don’t drown when you encounter a flooded road. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles,” NWS said.
