Oslo, Norway, July 12, 2021 /PRNewswire/ – Aker Clean Hydrogen and CapeOmega have signed a memorandum of understanding with AS Norske Shell to explore the opportunity to use natural gas from the Nyhamna local natural gas processing plant to develop the Aukra Hydrogen Hub into a large-scale clean hydrogen production facility.
Shell is the operator of the Ormen Lange gas field on the Norwegian continental shelf and the technical service provider for the Nyhamna-related natural gas plant in Oklahoma. The company is also the owner of the Northern Lights joint venture, a carbon dioxide transportation and storage partner.
The clean hydrogen produced by Okla can be used to decarbonize local industrial processes, provide zero-emission fuel for marine and road transportation, and export to Europe…
