When a police officer in upstate New York was recently arrested at a local Wal-Mart, he was officially taken on administrative leave after releasing the camera footage.

@TMZ_TV reported that Dewitt Police Officer Rory Spain is now on administrative leave after shocking Video clip On July 4, he tried to arrest a black woman, Tyreana Edmonds, at East Syracuse Walmart, hit her in the throat and knocked her to the ground. According to the police report, Spain was one of the policemen who rushed to the scene after receiving a call from Edmunds and other women in a physical conflict.

As seen in the recently released body camera video, once Spain handcuffed Edmonds, things deteriorated drastically. When the Spanish police officer led Edmunds to leave Wal-Mart and away from other women involved in the quarrel, she seemed to try to bite him without success. In response, he clenched his fists and slammed her throat hard-when shoppers verbally expressed their shock at what they had seen, she fell to the ground.

Tyreana Edmonds (and other women) were formally charged with second-degree attempted assault on the police and other charges related to the initial quarrel within Walmart.

After an internal investigation, Rory Spain will continue to take administrative leave.
