Solid Biosciences Announces Appointment of Iman Barilero, Doctor of Pharmacy, as Chief Regulatory Officer

Cambridge, Massachusetts, June 7, 2021 (Global News Agency) – Solid Biosciences Inc. (NASDAQ:Small database), a life science company focused on advancing meaningful treatments for Duchenne muscular dystrophy (Duchenne), today announced that Dr. Iman Barilero has joined the company as chief regulatory officer, effective June 1, 2021.

Dr. Barilero has 30 years of experience as a strategy executive in the healthcare industry, successfully designing innovative and integrated regulatory approaches in the United States, the European Union, Switzerland, China, Japan, and Brazil.

Dr. Barilero recently served as a senior advisor to Innouvo, providing strategic regulatory guidance for scientific companies. Prior to her most recent position, she held senior positions in regulatory affairs and pharmacovigilance at Agenus and Poxel in Boston. Prior to this, she served as the vice president of Lundbeck A/S Global Regulatory Science and Policy Director. She played a key role in influencing the external medical and regulatory policy environment. She contributed to the regulatory approvals of Selincro and Tritellix, as well as the approval of Rexulti and Abilify It contributes to the maintenance of central nervous system diseases. Early in her career, she held various leadership positions in pharmacology, clinical science, pharmacovigilance, regulatory affairs, and policy participation in Johnson & Johnson, Roche, Wyeth, and Bristol-Myers Squibb. She started her career as a researcher at the famous European cancer center Gustave Roussy in France.

Dr. Barilero received his PhD in pharmacy and medicinal chemistry from the University of Damascus in Syria, and his Master of Science in Molecular and Cellular Pharmacology, Oncology and Ph.
