Doubt Looms Over Kagiso Rabada’s Participation in Test Series Against India

After the World Cup, India is on a big tour to South Africa. The tour contains three T20s, three ODIs, and two Test matches. The third T20 will be organized on December 14. India will be playing a test series after a long time. The test series will commence on December 26. Fans are excited to see the players in white jerseys. Before that, bad news came from South Africa’s end. Kagiso Rabada is doubtful for the test series against India. 

The Injury Scare in SA Squad:

Injury is a scare for every team. India and South Africa are already playing the T20 series. The ODI series and the test series are coming on the way. Both teams are all geared up and ready. In this situation, bad news was received from South Africa’s side. As per reports, Kagiso Rabada is doubtful for the test series against India.  

Rabada sustained an injury during the World Cup 2023. In the semifinal match, he bowled only six overs for the injury. After the injury, he was about to play in the first-class match. But he missed that match due to a bruised heel. As per reports, the team management said, “He will undergo further assessments.”

The injury scare hit the South African team hard. Anrich Nortje is already out of the team due to injury. He is recovering from a stress fracture of the back. He missed the World Cup 2023 also. Lungi Ngidi is also injured. He is dealing with a sprained ankle. Because of this reason, he was ruled out for the T20 series against India. 

India’s South Africa Tour:

India and South Africa are facing each other in a long tour. On December 14, the third T20 match will take place. Suryakumar Yadav is leading the team. On the other hand, the first T20 match of the series was washed out due to rain. South Africa won the second T20. the third match is going to be the decider one. 

The ODI series will be starting from December 17. The first test match of the series is set to happen on December 26 and the second one is scheduled to happen on January 3. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli skipped the white ball format and are set to be back in the team for the test series. South African skipper Temba Bavuma will also be back in the test series against India.
