Boca youth team idol Carlos Tevez has confirmed that he will leave the Argentine Giants immediately because he is now mentally “not ready” to participate in the game. However, he did not officially announce his retirement from football. He said that he currently intends to withdraw from the game, “but maybe I will wake up in three months and I want to play again.”
Tevez rejoined his boyhood club from Juventus in 2015. He previously played for teams such as Manchester United and Manchester City in Europe, and then returned for the third time in 2018 after spending some time in the Super League.
But at a press conference on Friday, the 37-year-old player revealed that he would not play for Xeneize in the second half of the year because he chose to shorten his contract six months in advance.

“This is not farewell, but goodbye soon,” Tevez told reporters. “I have nothing else to give Boca.
“I am not mentally ready. I don’t even have time to mourn my father. That’s the requirement.
“At this time, I need to rely on my family and serve them.
“Today I can say yes, I am going to retire, but maybe I wake up in three months and I want to play again, but I won’t be in the Boca Juniors again.
“I want to thank [Boca] Leadership, colleagues and coaching staff. “
